Community Management Professionals, LLC (CMP) was formed on January 1st, 2013 by the combination of staff from Community Management Solutions, Inc. (CMS) and West Point Community Management, Inc. (WPCM). CMS was formed in 1995 by combining Golob Real Estate, Inc. and Kathleen Kato, CPA, two businesses specializing in community association management. Edward R. Golob, Jr. CMCA®, PCAM®, founded Golob Real Estate in 1984 and has been involved with community association management since 1980. Ed is a licensed Real Estate Broker, was a member of the Community Associations Institutes national faculty from 1987 through 1997, and is a past president of the Community Associations Institutes local chapter. He is the managing member of CMP. In 1971, Bob Bright joined a group to form West Point Realty, focusing on commercial management. In 1988, management of community associations was added. In 1997, Bob formed West Point Community Management to specialize solely in community management. As of July 2013, CMP is located in Carnegie, PA. An easily accessible area located six miles from downtown Pittsburgh, at the intersection of Interstates 79 and 279. Today CMP operates as a mid-sized management company with 17 employees. CMP has grown to selectively manage over 56 communities with more than 8,700 individual units, across Southwestern Pennsylvania. Two of our managers have reached the PCAM® (Professional Community Association Manager) designation, which is the highest professional recognition available nationwide to managers who specialize in community association management. Six members of the community management team obtained their CMCA® designation in 2014.
